Born in San Diego, CA I grew up as the middle child with three brothers. I spent my youth playing soccer and actively participating in any and all high school activities. After I graduated in 2005, I went on to pursue a collegiate soccer career at Pepperdine University where I earned my BS in Mathematics. I continued my education at Lewis&Clark College in Portland where I earned my Masters in Teaching in 2011. Outside of the classroom I spend time outdoors with my family; climbing, running, backpacking, mountaineering and hiking.
I was born and raised in North Portland, growing up as the middle child in a family of five. While in grade school, I attended many Tech shows and knew Benson was the high school for me. I graduated in 1975, majoring in electric. My Benson education lead me to a rewarding 18yr career as an electrician. Caring and wonderful Benson teachers helped guide me. I always wanted to give back by teaching at Benson. This is my 21st years of teaching and I love it.
I have a wonderful wife and two great kids who are 26 and 23 years old. We like to sail, cycle, backpack and fish.
